Business Travel to Udaipur
|
Situated in a valley of the Aravallis in
the southern part of Rajasthan close to Gujarat is the romantic city
of Udaipur. It derives it name from its founder Maharana Udai Singh
and tradition has it that the dynasty to which he belonged is the
descendent of the Sun.
Having a 1400
yr. old history, Udaipur today boasts of the presence of the
76th custodian of the royal family still strongly rooted in
its land. Udaipur is better known in history for its
association with chivalrous rulers like Maharana Pratap ruling
over its land. However today it is a progressive city with
trade and commerce taking place in a major way and the ancient
wars and battles so synonymous with the ruling Rajput clan is
a distant dream now.
